Oakwood is a private co-educational independent school offering prekindergarten to grade 6. Oakwood's educationally innovative program would appeal to those parents who seek more than the traditional learning environment for their child. At Oakwood, students are provided with the educational foundation needed for ongoing learning and achievement.

Admission
Oakwood welcomes students who are able to benefit from a challenging academic program and parents who are willing to support the educational philosophy of the school. Parents seeking admission for their child must first complete a "Student Enrollment Application", and provide a copy of the child’s birth certificate, and immunization record.
Preschool/Kindergarten Applicants
Acceptance is gained on the basis of a favorable interview process with the parent(s)and child and the results of an evaluation to determine academic aptitude and behavioral readiness. Students may gain admission to this program at anytime throughout the school year.
Elementary Applicants
Students applying to the elementary program (Grades 1-6) must sit the grade level entrance examination. Previous school records, transcripts and teacher recommendations are also evaluated before an admission decision is made.
